Sports Photographer and Director Brandon Barnard was commissioned to document the Kappa #WinningStartsWithin campaign across four townships in Gauteng: Thembisa, Soweto, Diepsloot, and Alexandra.

Brandon’s brief was simple — capture the energy, emotion, and authenticity of each moment. The result is a stunning body of work that includes compelling photography, short-form video content for social media, and a five-part video series culminating in one emotionally charged highlight reel.

Kappa’s ambassador, Banyana Banyana star Janine van Wyk, visited each school, delivering football gear, sharing her journey, and providing hands-on coaching to the young players.

Diepsloot

In Diepsloot, the spirit of the community was captured in every frame. The excitement of the children receiving their new kits from Kappa was palpable, and Janine van Wyk’s presence sparked both awe and inspiration.
